Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Overview & Capacity Constraints

Because all laboratory workshops at Smart Work Point Pty Ltd are strictly limited to small cohorts of 4 to 8 participants with assigned physical workstations, late cancellations directly prevent other technicians from attending. This policy balances flexibility for participants with the operational requirements of regional laboratory preparation.

2. Workshop Seat Cancellations & Refund Timeframes

For enrollments in our in-person Seaton laboratory courses (such as the 2-Day ASIC Masterclass or 5-Day Bootcamp):

• More than 14 Days Prior to Workshop Start: You may cancel your enrollment for a full refund of tuition fees paid, minus a 5% administrative payment processing fee, or transfer your seat to a future cohort date at zero fee.
• Between 7 and 14 Days Prior to Workshop Start: You are eligible for a 50% refund of tuition fees, or you may transfer your enrollment to another cohort date subject to a $150 rescheduling fee to cover workstation reallocation.
• Less than 7 Days Prior to Workshop Start: Tuition fees are non-refundable, as laboratory test boards, consumables, and instructor schedules have been finalized. However, you may nominate a substitute colleague to attend in your place at no extra charge.

3. Rescheduling by Participant

If you need to reschedule your workshop attendance due to unforeseen circumstances, written notice must be sent via email to hello@smartworkpoint.click. One complimentary date transfer is permitted if requested at least 14 days prior to your scheduled start date.

4. Private Technical Consultations (1-on-1)

Private 3-hour technical advisory sessions may be cancelled or rescheduled up to 48 hours prior to the booked session for a 100% refund. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled time incur a 50% late-cancellation fee.

5. On-Site Facility Feasibility Audits

For on-site engineering audits conducted at client premises:

• Engineering Audit Fee: 100% refundable if cancelled more than 10 business days before the scheduled site visit. If cancelled within 10 business days, the 30% booking deposit is retained.
• Non-Refundable Travel Expenses: Any pre-booked, non-refundable travel expenses (such as regional flights, vehicle hire, or accommodation) incurred by Smart Work Point prior to cancellation are non-refundable and will be invoiced at direct cost.

6. No-Shows

Participants who fail to attend their registered workshop session without prior written notice ("no-show") forfeit 100% of their enrollment fees and are not eligible for a refund or complimentary transfer.

7. Workshop Postponement by Smart Work Point

In the rare event that Smart Work Point must reschedule or cancel a workshop due to severe weather events, instructor illness, or regional infrastructure outages, enrolled participants will be offered:

• A full 100% refund of all enrollment tuition fees paid, or
• Priority transfer to a newly scheduled workshop date of their choice.

Smart Work Point is not liable for incidental travel or lodging booking costs incurred with third-party providers.

8. Refund Process & Timeframe

All approved refund requests are processed within 5 to 10 business days. Refunds are issued directly via the original method of payment (such as direct bank transfer or credit card).

9. How to Request a Refund or Seat Transfer

To request a cancellation, transfer, or refund, submit your request in writing with your enrollment invoice number to:
